Thank you for willingly sharing your TGS story with us! Before you begin filming, here are a few guidelines to ensure the best quality and usability.
1. Choose a Quiet Location
- Find a Quiet Space: Pick a room or area with minimal background noise (e.g., no traffic, people talking, or loud appliances).
- Close Windows & Doors: This helps block out external noise.
2. Set Up Your Recording Device
- Use Your Smartphone or Camera: Most smartphones have good video and audio quality. Make sure your camera lens is clean and free of smudges and fingerprints.
- Stabilize Your Device: Use a tripod or place your phone/camera on a stable surface to avoid shaky footage.
3. Lighting
- Use Natural Light: Record near a window during the day, but avoid direct sunlight on your face.
- Position Lights Properly: If indoors, place a lamp or light source in front of you (behind the camera) to avoid shadows on your face.
4. Check Your Audio
- Built-In Microphone: Speak at your normal volume to ensure the microphone picks up your voice clearly.
- Use an External Microphone (Optional): A simple clip-on or lavalier microphone can improve audio quality.
5. Frame Your Shot
- Position the Camera at Eye Level: This angle is the most flattering and comfortable to watch. Videos shot vertically are preferred.
- Center Yourself in the Frame: Your face should be in the middle, with a little space above your head.
- Avoid Cluttered Backgrounds: A clean, simple background looks more professional.
6. Save & Share
- Save in High Quality: Choose the highest resolution available when saving/ uploading your video.
If you make a mistake while recording your video response, no need to start over! Take a breath and continue to record. We will cut out any mistakes later. It’s okay if it’s not perfect.
Most importantly, be yourself, stay calm, and be natural. We want to see you smile and show your personality!
