AGREEMENT & CODE OF CONDUCT

Purpose

The mission of the TGS Community Board is to be a liaison between the TGS membership community and TGS Leadership. The Community Board is a sought after position that bring direct access to TGS leadership to impact the direction of the club experience. 

Membership Status

Any member of the TGS Community Board must have maintained active membership status for 1 year prior to start of the term (unless otherwise approved) and must remain active throughout the full term.

Dues

When serving on the Community Board the Club will waive membership dues for the full term. This is otherwise a voluntary opportunity and no monetary compensation will be exchanged for your time.

Member Programming and Engagement

New members often look to a tenured member for insight on how to engage and get involved with the TGS community. Member programming is one of the key engagement components of membership. As an elected member of the TGS Community Board, it is encouraged that you attend select member events as an official TGS host. Community Board members are required to attend 4 events a month and submit as a group a minimum of 4 member event proposals per month through this link. Failure to meet these requirements will result in expulsion from the Community Board. At times, the Community Board will receive programming proposals from other members or TGS Circles which must be vetted by the Community Board and included as an proposed event if agreed by the Community Board. 

Conduct

Gathering outside of TGS is expected, however, keep in mind that you represent TGS while making other public appearances. It is expected that all Commuity Board members represent the ideals of The Gathering Spot and conduct themselves appropriately both within The Gathering Spot and outside of the Club. The Gathering Spot reserves the right to expel any member of the Community Board at the Club’s discretion at any time without notice.

Community Board Meetings

Community Board members will meet twice a month; the first meeting of the month will be lead by the President and/or Vice President, to discuss community matters, share feedback and ideate potential member programming and engagement opportunities;  the 2nd meeting will be with Club Leadership to share insights, feedback member event proposals. All Community Board members must attend 75% of all meetings and must report any absences to the Vice President. The Community Board is permitted to meet more frequently than this, virtually or in person, to be organized and agreed upon by the Community Board. 

Term

Members on the Community Board will serve in their respective roles for one full year. At the discretion of TGS Leadership, a member can be removed from their position at any time.

Privacy

Members are not to disclose or share information about the Club or other members without the Club’s or such Member’s (as applicable) permission. 

 

Rights to Publicity; Required Disclosure

You agree that TGS may, and You hereby grant TGS a royalty-free license to,  publish your name, company name, title, website, photograph, likeness and other similar details on the web, on social media or in print; provided, however, that TGS shall have no obligation to publish any such information. To the extent required by law, government request, or pursuant to any legal proceeding or investigation, TGS may disclose information about You and Your participation in and use of the Services at the Club, with or without Your knowledge, and You hereby consent to such disclosure.

 

Process + Procedures

The President presides over meetings. The Vice President serves in the President’s absence.  

Programming ideas must be presented to the TGS leadership team 45 days in advance for approval.
