CELEBRATING 5 YEARS OF THE GATHERING SPOT
Statistics show that only 50% of small businesses make it to the 5-year mark. And for Black-owned businesses, in particular, 80% fail within the first 18 months. That’s why it’s no small feat that we have been been able to build community since 2016. However, none of this would’ve been possible without support from the membership in Atlanta, DC, Los Angeles, our Connected Cities, and beyond.
Releasing in 2022, “The First Five,” is a brand new TGS publication dedicated to those who have made The Gathering Spot what is it is today. From cultural gatherings, uplifting our community, and embarking on ventures together — the pages will be filled with expressions of love and gratitude that reflect on what’s possible when we gather.
The best part? Each member of The Gathering Spot will be featured in this book and marked forever in our history. We’ll be scheduling time in the upcoming weeks for members to have their photo made to be part of this special commemorative book. Simply become a member by December 31, 2021.
