Meet Kareen.

Originally from the East Coast (NY & NJ), Kareen Louis, has dedicated her time to building Black communities centered on affirming Black culture, Black experiences and Black people! In her professional life she serves as the Assistant Director of the Office of Black Student Development at the University of California, providing community engagement and programmatic support for Black students, alumni and community members. In this capacity she has developed hundreds of programs and initiatives centered on the social, cultural and professional expansion of the Black community. Kareen has worked in Higher Education over the past 10 years in areas of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Community Development and is also a two time graduate of Rutgers University – State University of New Jersey, where she received her Bachelors degree in Public Administration and Masters degree in Education. Outside of her professional life, Kareen’s passions include, health & wellness, entertainment and community building. Kareen continues her community building efforts in organizations such as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and other professional and cultural organizations. In every space she inhabits she strives to enable Black communities to thrive!
